J Jordan (pronouns they or she) is the owner of Brown Rice Bakery, a local gluten free and vegan bakery committed to growing community, promoting health, practicing sustainability and creating joy through food. Through Brown Rice Bakery, J has been able to express their belief that we can care for our bodies and our communities all while enjoying what we eat at the same time. Born in Greece to a refugee Ethiopian mother, growing up in the Midwest, and living and traveling in several countries, J carries a wide range of global culinary inspiration and is excited to celebrate the bounty of locally available produce in California.
