Surrounded by rich agricultural land and soaked in the warm California sun, Turkovich Family Wines produces quality small-lot wines from the best vineyards in Western Yolo County. Winemaker and third-generation farmer Christopher Turkovich returned to his hometown after traveling the world making wine. He jumped at the chance to return to his hometown and make wine in Yolo County — an area still slightly undiscovered but with the potential of producing world-class wines. In 2007, Chris started Turkovich Family Wines and planted Button & Turkovich Vineyard. 2010 brought the opening of their doors to their downtown tasting room, with 2014 following close behind bringing their small production winery to fruition. Located in Winters, CA, less than five miles from Napa County, the site proved to be a hidden gem for growing quality wine grapes.

Rhone varieties Syrah and Viognier have proven to be the stars of the show, along with the Spanish varietal Tempranillo and California’s workhorse, Petite Sirah. Grenache and Mourvedre are also showing immense potential. Total production is currently 5000 cases.
