Work Up An Appetite for the 2015 Farm-to-Fork Celebration

FestivalWhile we showcase fresh food 365 days a year in the Sacramento region, there’s no better time to grab a plate than during the annual Farm-to-Fork Celebration, Sept. 10-27. This two-week party highlights the tastes that are putting our  cuisine on the map, as well as the local farmers who are feeding our communities and the rest of the nation. From street fairs to farm dinners, the Celebration will be packed with almost daily events that are sure to please your palate.

Farm-to-Fork Restaurant Weeks presented by Lexus (Sept. 10-27) – Farm-to-Fork Restaurant Weeks presented by Lexus are a celebration of the region’s premiere dining destinations, in addition to the bounty of seasonal ingredients found in the area. The two-week event will showcase the Sacramento region as the culinary powerhouse that it is, with area restaurants hosting special events, menus and opportunities to meet the farmers, winemakers and brewers who make Sacramento America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital.  Find a continuously updated list of participating restaurants at www.farmtofork.com/restaurantweek.

CA Craft Beer Summit (September 11-12) – For the first time, more than 150 of the Golden State’s best brewers will converge in Sacramento for a one-of-a-kind beer weekend. Legends of Wine presented by Lexus (Sept. 17) – Oenophiles will have the unique opportunity to sample and discover more about some of the region’s most celebrated wines, as selected by two of Sacramento’s internationally recognized culinary powerhouses – Darrell Corti and David Berkley. TBD Fest – The highly anticipated music, food and lifestyle festival returns to Sacramento  Sept. 18-20, bringing memorable bands, experiences and of course, food. Throughout TBD, music fans can feast on bites from some of the region’s top chefs. Tickets and lineup at www.tbdfest.com

Farm-to-Fork Festival (Sept. 26) – Designed to demonstrate where our food and drinks come from, the Farm-to-Fork Festival has proven to be one of the can’t-miss  food event of the season The free faire hosted on the city’s iconic Capitol Mall boasts an exciting selection of farm-to-fork offerings that are produced and available in the Sacramento region. Attendees will find food, wine and beer from regional eateries and purveyors, as well as live music, cooking demonstrations, a kids’ zone, interactive booths from local grocers, farms and ranches and more.
