Sacramento Bike Trail Dining Guide – Interactive Map
By Ed Murrieta
The American River Bike Trail is more than the jewel in the crown of Sacramento parks.
The 32.8-mile paved pathway from Old Sacramento to Folsom Lake is a bikeable feast — gateway to great restaurants, urban farms, farmers markets craft beer and an enclave of Korean cuisine that most Sacramentans have probably only driven past.
And don’t forget the Sacramento River Pathway Trail — Sacramento’s other bike trail, which follows the city’s namesake river for seven miles along a reclaimed railway access road. The Sacramento Northern Bike Trail, an 11-mile path from Downtown Sacramento to Rio Linda, crosses the American River Bike Trail and leads to restaurants and farms.
Most destinations are one-half- to two-mile rides from bike trail exits.
I’ve included a few that are just a bit farther, because there’s great food and craft beer rewards.
