Sacramento Solar Cooking Festival

International experts and local solar chefs will display their solar cookers and favorite cooking techniques on Saturday, July 19, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Sacramento Solar Cooking Festival in William Land Park, 3800 South Land Park Drive. The event is free and open to the public. Visitors will find:

–        Solar cooking demonstrations

–        Local and international solar chefs

–        Solar cooking classes

–        A solar chef picnic

–        Kids’ activities

The Festival is the culmination of the Fifth International Solar Cooking Convention and draws solar cooking experts from Uganda, Kenya, India, South Africa, Japan, Hong Kong, Canada, Norway, Germany, Bolivia, Nicaragua, the United States and the Philippines. Experts will address challenges in design, project management and testing standards for solar cookers worldwide.
