Meet Scott and Christine Calvin, the dirty hands behind Killdeer Farms, a plucky little flower farm crankin’ out gorgeous, happy flowers in West Sacramento. In 2018, they drove past a forlorn little farm down the road from their neighborhood, threw caution and their piggy bank to the wind, and launched a crusade to rehab five dead acres and give back to the community through flower farming and mutual support for other local businesses. Flowers from Killdeer Farms are grown under California sunshine using natural practices and harvested to order. They last a long time, smell great, and contribute to our region’s blossoming field-to-vase movement. You’re going to love them.
