Urban Farming on the Silver Screen

growing-cities-2 ‘Growing Cities’ film to play in West Sacramento

Farming has been a way of life in the Sacramento region for decades, but today’s agricultural landscape extends far beyond the countryside. Now, audiences have the opportunity to see urban farming come to life on the big screen when the Center for Land-Based Learning (CLBL) and the Sacramento Urban Agriculture Coalition host a showing of the film Growing Cities on Jan. 25.

The film is a documentary that examines the role of urban farming and its impact on cities. Following the screening, CLBL and the Urban Agriculture Coalition will host a panel discussion with local urban farmers, policy makers and urban farming advocates.
