Mayahuel, La Cosecha and Mesa Mercado

Señor Ernesto Delgado, owner of Tequila Museo Mayahuel and La Cosecha – both in Downtown Sacramento- and Mesa Mercado in Carmichael, has worked in the restaurant business since the age of fourteen.

Each restaurant is unique, yet each embodies the vision of a man who is both passionate about his culture as well as our city of Sacramento.

Graduating from Sacramento State University with a degree in Design, he has artfully combined his aesthetic principles with creative flair, bringing diverse flavors, original art, and fine Tequilas and Mezcales together for a unique experience.

Señor Delgado is Vice President and board member of the California Restaurant Association, a position that takes him to Washington, D.C. once a year to lobby for issues which affect California Restaurants. He also belongs to Region Restaurants, which addresses local issues. Señor Delgado shares a great respect and camaraderie with the majority of Downtown and Midtown restaurateurs – a vision that Sacramento can showcase some of the finest fresh food in California.

He celebrates the exhilaration and excitement of being a food entrepreneur. His commitment to the art that exists all around us elevates his food to something that transcends the ingredients into amazing dishes which combine the fresh produce available in Sacramento with the true flavors of México.
