Brad Cecchi is the Executive Chef & Partner of Canon, where he creates a modern American neighborhood tavern with thoughtful, globally influenced cuisine.
Brad started his career in his native Sacramento, working in some of the area’s top restaurants. A graduate of the Culinary Arts program at American River College and later at the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, Brad learned the classical ways of cooking and returned home excited to show what he’d learned.
His first job after returning was opening Mulvaney’s B&L. Brad’s longest tenure was at The Citizen Hotel and Grange, where he served first as chef de cuisine. Grange gave him the experience and freedom to express his style and create a presence in the industry.
Brad then became Executive Chef of the 250-seat Urban Farmer Steakhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. He later served as the Chef de Cuisine and later Executive Chef of the Solbar in the 88 room, luxury hotel resort, Solage Calistoga. Solbar was able to maintain its Michelin Star twice in 2016 and 2017. While at Solbar Cecchi used ingredients from Sacramento to showcase his style and sense of home
Now at Canon, Brad delivers his interpretation of locally sourced contemporary American food.
