Soil Born Farms To Host School Garden Conference
Calling all teachers, parents, garden designers and school garden coordinators – Soil Born Farms is set to host “A Garden in Every School” on March 14 and 15, a symposium designed to encourage the establishment of school gardens across the region.
The two-day symposium will feature workshops, success stories, best practices, panel discussions, information booths, and, of course, delicious food. Workshop tracks will include topics such as nutrition and cooking, school garden planning, ecosystems and lessons from the natural world. Discussions and lectures will be led by a diverse group of leading educators, chefs and nonprofits from across the region. Symposium participants will be treated to farm-to-fork delights from Magpie Café, Chipotle and Sacramento Natural Foods.
