Farmer & Chef Match – Farm-to-Fork Gala Dinner
The 2015 Farm-to-Fork Gala Dinner is quickly approaching, and this year’s event is already shaping up to be something special. The Gala serves as the September Farm-to-Fork Celebration’s finale, with hundreds of diners enjoying a locally sourced meal at an iconic Sacramento location. Around 700 guests at the family-style dinner will be treated to a seasonal feast On September 27, prepared by more than 30 top area chefs. The event is continually one of Sacramento’s most sought-after tickets, with the 2014 dinner selling out in less than three minutes. This year’s dinner will be led by Chefs Oliver Ridgeway of Grange and Ravin Patel of Selland Family Restaurants, and their team of chefs are working hard to develop a multi-course menu that is reflective of local flavors.
The 2015 dinner presents a unique opportunity for area farmers, ranchers, growers and purveyors to reach more than 700 area consumers in just one evening. Moreover, the event serves as an ideal venue for food providers to have their ingredients prepared by the region’s top chefs. Because the event requires an abundance of local produce, proteins and dairy items, there are many donation opportunities for dishes ranging from appetizers to dessert. All participating farms and ranches are featured on the dinner menus, the take-home pamphlet, the farm-to-fork website and on other promotional materials, ensuring maximum visibility among the influential attendees.
If you have surplus or other items that you wish to donate to the 2015 Gala Dinner, please contact Sidney at [email protected] to discuss the donation program in more detail.
